United Way of Missoula County's commitment to our community goes far beyond grantmaking functions. We offer numerous opportunities for meaningful volunteer service. We depend on volunteers from the community. If you are interested in volunteering for United Way, please call our office or email Info@missoulaunitedway.org.

Day of Caring is a community-wide day of hands-on volunteering during which United Way of Missoula County connects volunteers from local businesses with local nonprofit organizations to complete various projects, like painting, clean-up, yard work, etc. that would otherwise not get accomplished. This year marked United Way’s 15th annual Day of Caring and the largest effort to date.

United Way’s Day of Caring demonstrates that volunteerism is vital to the well being of our community.  It empowers people to work together to address some of the community’s most urgent needs.  The event provides a firsthand look at the services offered by United Way funded programs; hands-on volunteer experiences; and excellent opportunities for employee team-building.  The DOC also spotlights United Way of Missoula County’s role in bringing volunteers together to advance the common good for all.  This year we mobilized more than 170 volunteers from organizations and businesses throughout Missoula to complete volunteer projects at 20 different nonprofit locations throughout Missoula.

Thank you volunteers, we could not have done it without you!
