What We Do

United Way builds a better community, specifically in the areas of education, income and health.

• Through our Education Initiative, we are helping children and youth achieve their potential by supporting effective strategies to improve graduation rates and providing after-school and mentoring programs for at-risk youth.
• Through our Income Intiative, we are helping families become financially stable and independent. We do this by supporting basic needs while increasing financial education, helping hardworking people obtain job training and family-sustaining wages, and increasing affordable housing for seniors and families.
• Through our Health Initiative, we are improving people's health by increasing access to critical healthcare services, reducing substance abuse, child abuse and domestic violence, and increasing health education and preventive care.
