What We Do
Our Mission: Building A Better Community For All
United Way of Missoula County builds a better community for all, specifically in the areas of education, income, and health. We collaborate with diverse community partners to identify important social issues and bring together resources to address them. We give donors a trusted, one-stop way to support critical services for people in need, and we make sure that donated dollars are invested wisely and well.
Building blocks of a good life
We focus on education, income, and health because we believe these are the building blocks of a good life. Donations to United Way help to stregthen the fabric of our community, both through our grants to more than 45 programs at 34 area nonprofits, and through United Way's ability to find and implement innovative solutions to our community's most intractable problems. When we all come together to address homelessness, improve graduation rates, prevent childhood obesity, and provide a safety net for our most volunerable neighbors, we are fulfilling the dream of LIVE UNITED.
Partner agencies are carefully screened to make sure that donations do what they intend them to do: provide food, health care, shelter, help and hope to vulnerable people in Missoula County.
